Following Dad's Smoke Trail

My dad has been my biggest inspiration. Starting at 3 years old he would always let me join in helping him cook at home. He also competed in bbq and grilling competitions. When I was 8 years old wanted to join him which is how I began my bbq/grilling journey. I haven't slowed down since.

Big Joe Series III

The options are endless and the best part about a Big Joe is the size. It gives you an opportunity to cook for both large and small gatherings.

A red Big Joe III grill with black side shelves, Kontrol Tower top vent, and heavy-duty cart with wheels. A temperature gauge is built into the grill dome. A sliding steel access door is built into the bottom of the grill base.

What inspired you to start barbecuing? How long have you been doing it?
My dad has been my biggest inspiration. Starting at 3 years old he would always let me join in helping him cook at home. He also competed in bbq and grilling competitions. When I was 8 years old wanted to join him which is how I began my bbq/grilling journey. I haven’t slowed down since.
What advice would you give to Someone new to grilling? do you have any advice for a new content creator in the BBQ space?
If you are new at grilling, don’t be scared for something not to turn out the way you want. I have learned that when something doesn’t turn out how I wanted it’s sometimes the best way to learn and makes me want to get back at trying something new.
What is your favorite grilling technique that you've learned and why?
I love director cooking. I feel like the flavor you get from the slight char adds so much that one cant get from indirect.
What is your favorite recipe?
Seafood Paella and a good Cajun Surf and Turf! Steak has always been one of my signature cooks.
Anything else you'd like to share?
Always follow your dreams. Don’t be afraid to see failure…learn from it because it will make your stronger the next time.
