South Carolina Barbecue Sauce

Mustard and vinegar based sauce for a tasty and tangy change of pace from BBQ Sauce. Great on pulled pork.

1 Cup of prepared mustard
1 Cup of apple cider vinegar
1/2 Cup of sugar
1/4 Cup of brown sugar
1 Tsp of pepper
1 Tbsp of chili powder
1/2 Tsp of cayenne
1/2 Tsp of salt
1 Tbsp of Butter


In a small sauce pan combine all ingredients except the butter. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Once at a simmer remove from heat and add the butter. Cool to room temperature. Can be used as a basting sauce, brushed on after cooking or as a sauce on the side.
