Meatballs on the Joe! Great for subs, sliders, or add to your favorite sauce.
|Prep Time||10 minutes|
|Grill Used||Kamado Joe|
|Cook Time||35 minutes|
2 pounds ground beef (I use 85 15)
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Romano or Parmesan cheese
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and mix by hand until well blended. Once mixed, form large golf ball size meatballs and place them into a lightly greased pan and cover tightly with foil.
Get the Joe up to 400°F with plate setter legs down.
I put a pizza stone on top of the plate setter to keep the bottom of the pan from getting to hot and burning the meatballs.
Place pan in the middle and cook for 25 mins. After 25 mins is up, remove the foil and continue to cook another 10 mins to brown the meatballs. Remove pan from the Joe and let them rest for 5 mins. Remove meatballs from the pan and place them on some paper towels to remove excess grease. Add to your favorite sauce for sliders, subs, or spaghetti.
