Over the last three years, we have gotten to know many of you through Facebook, phone calls, emails and best of all, the opportunity to meet you in person. We all share the same passion for grilling, and that's the type of connection that few companies can claim with their customers and retailers. With that in mind, we want to make you aware of the upcoming additions to the Kamado Joe product line.

In September, we will be publicly announcing three new grills. We want you to be the first to get an inside look at these new products and the strategy behind them, because we value you and your loyalty to Kamado Joe.
Kamado Joe BigJoe
BigJoe
We have had many requests for an extra large version of our Kamado Joe Classic grill. If we are anything, we are good listeners. "BigJoe" will be added to our product line and be available in late 2011. It will have a 24" cooking area diameter and carry the same quality and materials that we put into our current classic grill. BigJoe will be available in our flagship red color and also in black. As always, BigJoe will include everything you need to getting grilling right away: grill, side shelves, cart, ash tool and grill gripper.

ComboJoe
Gas grills with a charcoal option have been around for several years, but a ceramic grill with a gas grill option is a first. "ComboJoe" is the perfect marriage of our ceramic Kamado Joe Stand Alone grill and our newly developed gas grill. It adds the flexibility of dual cooking methods and more than doubles the amount of cooking area.Kamado Joe ComboJoe

ComboJoe will be available in 26" and 32" gas models and all four Kamado Joe Classic Stand Alone grill models will be available for it. Some of the gas grill features include a flame tamer, 8mm stainless steel cooking grate, warming rack and full size grease tray. Both versions of the ComboJoe cart include generous storage areas.

One of the reasons we decided to develop ComboJoe is the reality that some of our fellow grillers prefer the option of having a gas grill. Considering that 80% of those who cook outdoors use a gas grill, we believe that ComboJoe will be an attractive option and fill an unmet need for grillers who would like to transition to ceramic grilling without giving up the option of a gas grill.

GasJoe
As a Kamado grill company, "GasJoe" takes us in a completely new direction. In late 2011, we will be offering "GasJoe" and "GasJoe Ultra". A standard and premium line of gas grills available in 26", 32" and 38", and in 30" and 42" models Kamado Joe GasJoe and GasJoe Ultrarespectively. Standard feature include: 8mm cooking grate rods, tube type burners, flame tamer, flash tubes, zinc alloy cast knobs, removable side shelves, full-size grease tray, warming rack, polished edges & accents and locking casters. Premium features for GasJoe Ultra include a sear burner, rotisserie, side burner, back burner, LEG lights and a tank slide tray.

Final Thoughts
There may be some of you who question the wisdom of adding a line of gas grills by a ceramic grill company. That's a fair question. The idea for ComboJoe was born when we were redesigning our stainless steel grill table. We went to view the new design with our fabricator and the shell of a gas grill was sitting next to our grill table. We realized that blending a Kamado grill with a gas grill would be a first in the market.

ComboJoe will appeal to those who already have a Kamado grill (any 18" grill will fit) and would like the option of having gas. It will also be an attractive option for someone who would like to move to a Kamado grill without giving up a cooking method that is familiar to them.

During the development of ComboJoe, we took a closer look at the gas grill market. We discovered a small gap between entry level grills and very high end grills. We believe GasJoe and GasJoe Ultra fills that gap. They are an option for anyone who is ready to move up from entry levels grills, and they are an attractive option for those who are looking for a premium grill without the premium price.

Rest assured, we will always have a passion for Kamado style cooking. Personally, a ceramic grill will always be my first choice, because it offers superior taste and cooking flexibility. My promise is to continue to bring you new products and product improvements to our line of ceramic grills.

Once again, we value you and we would appreciate your feedback on these new products. I also want to personally thank you for your willingness to refer us to your family, friends and neighbors. It tells us that we are living up to the level of product quality and customer support we have set for ourselves.

Grill well,

Bobby Brennan
President, Kamado Joe
