To find a local retailer see our dealer locator.

Can my order be shipped to me?
Shipping is at the discretion of your local retailer, but most retailers are happy to ground ship Kamado Joe grills and accessories to you. Ground shipping is permitted within your state of residence. Interstate shipping is not allowed. Please contact the nearest retailer in your state to find out their shipping policy and rates.

What is the difference between Kamado Joe and other ceramic grills?
If you cook a steak on any ceramic grills and all things being equal–it will taste the same. There are two important differences in Kamado Joe grills and other brands: Price and quality. Compared to the most popular brands, the average retail price of a Kamado Joe grill can be $100 or more below the cost of other top brands. Beyond price we use stainless steel, powder coated galvanized steel and bamboo for our hardware. Other brands use painted steel and cypress. It means that your Kamado Joe grill will look great for years to come.

Don't charcoal grills like Kamado Joe take longer to preheat than gas grills?
Most gas grillers let their grill preheat for 10-15 minutes before cooking. That's the same time it takes to light and preheat a Kamado Joe. The 100% Natural Lump Charcoal for our grills heats rapidly after lighting it. Some people confuse us with briquette charcoal grills, which can take 30 minutes or more to reach temperature. How do you light a Kamado Joe?
It's as simple as lighting a fire. Learn more by reading the lighting instructions on our Fire Starter Cubes page.

What kind of charcoal should I use?
We recommend Kamado Joe 100% Natural Lump Charcoal. There are other lump charcoal brands that do a good job. Some are known for their high heat, which is good for grilling and others have a long burn time for smoking. We selected our charcoal for its superior blend of high heat and length of burn.

Can I use starter fluid or charcoal briquettes?
No. We strongly recommend that you do not use lighter fluid (or any combustible fluid), charcoal briquettes or instant-light briquettes. They contain chemicals that can be absorbed by the ceramic material and it will negatively effect the taste of your food.

Can I leave my Kamado Joe grill uncovered outside?
Yes. Our grills can withstand normal weather conditions, but we do recommend our premium vinyl grill cover for added protection.

How do I register my Kamado Joe grill?
You can register your grill online, give your serial number to your local retailer and they will register it, or you can call us toll-free at (877) 215-6299.

Are there any safety considerations?
We have some common sense guidelines. Download a PDF copy of our Owners Manual and read the safety page.

Are replacement parts available?
Yes. Please contact your local retailer for any warranty-related or replacement parts.

Is there a lifetime guarantee?
Yes. We offer a limited lifetime guarantee. For details see our warranty page.
