If you cook a steak on any ceramic grills and all things being equal–it will taste the same. There are two important differences in Kamado Joe grills and other brands: Price and quality. Compared to the most popular brands, the average retail price of a Kamado Joe grill can be $100 or more below the cost of other top brands. Beyond price we use stainless steel, powder coated galvanized steel and bamboo for our hardware. Other brands use painted steel and cypress. It means that your Kamado Joe grill will look great for years to come.

The 100% Natural Lump Charcoal for our grills heats rapidly after lighting it. Some people confuse us with briquette charcoal grills, which can take 30 minutes or more to reach temperature. Yes. Our grills can withstand normal weather conditions, but we do recommend our premium vinyl grill cover for added protection.
